Originally founded as an engineering firm by Larry Alley, Alley, Williams, Carmen & King has helped North Carolina’s towns and cities provide vital services for their citizens since 1954. Whether building pump stations, reviewing plans for water/sewer systems, or recommending practices for day-to-day operations, AWCK has learned the power of a job well done: confidence that your infrastructure won’t fail when it’s most needed.
Over the years, our range of services has grown with our client base and their needs. We have added land surveying and architecture, establishing service from design and development to construction and operation, and now serve a growing number of private firms in addition to our public partners.
Our civil engineers, architects, registered land surveyors, and technical and administrative personnel have the qualifications and knowledge to solve high-stake problems every day, serve as sub-contractors when needed or fill in during staff shortages.
When AWCK begins projects, we also begin partnerships – solid relationships with cities, towns and private firms that last longer than the life of just one assignment, some for more than 50 years.
